Why Military and Veteran Families Book Antarctica Cruises With Military Cruise Deals

You served. Now let us take care of you. Here’s what you get when you book your Antarctica cruise with us:

We pay for your military discount.
Most “military discounts” are just a cruise line’s sale price with a new label. Ours comes out of our own commission — on top of the cruise line’s lowest price. That’s our way of saying thank you for your service.

Bring everyone you love.
Your service earns the discount for everyone traveling with you — your spouse, kids, grandkids and friends — even in separate cabins. One veteran, and the whole group saves.

You’ll never wonder if you overpaid.
Our Price Drop Tracker is technology we pay a lot for, so you don’t have to. It shows the biggest cruise price drops the moment they happen. It’s completely free to you.

We keep working for you after you book.
Most agencies stop paying attention once you pay your deposit. We don’t. We pay for price-monitoring technology that keeps checking your rate all the way until final payment. If your price drops, we ask the cruise line to re-fare you, upgrade you or give you onboard credit.

No fees. No surprises.
We never charge you a fee to book, change or cancel your cruise. (The cruise line’s own cancellation penalties still apply.)

Real cruise experts — not a call center.
For over 26 years, we’ve helped military families plan their cruises. Antarctica has a lot of choices — expedition ship or big ship, sail the Drake or fly over it, a short voyage or a long one with South Georgia. We’ll help you sort it out.

What it adds up to: on a $20,000 Antarctica cruise, our military discount saves you about $1,000. If the price drops after you book and we re-fare you, you can save even more.

You’ve earned the best deal on your cruise. We make sure you get it — before you book, after you book, and every day until you sail.

All Antarctica Cruises by Season:

The Antarctica cruise season runs from about November through March. Each link shows every sailing from October through April of that season.

We monitor your rate for price drops! We maximize your military discount on Antarctica cruises even after you book!

Between the time you book your Antarctica cruise and your final payment date, we keep watching the cruise line’s rates.

If the price drops, we contact the cruise line and ask them to re-fare your cruise to the lower rate, upgrade you to a better cabin, or give you onboard credit for the difference.

Cruise lines don’t always say yes, but we always try. Cruise lines will not re-fare after the final payment date, and some non-refundable fares don’t allow fare changes after booking.

Our exclusive Military Cruise Deals Price Drop Tracker shows the biggest cruise price drops the moment they happen.

Who Qualifies for Our Military and Veteran Discount on Antarctica Cruises?

Active-duty military, retired military, ALL veterans, and military spouses.

AND all friends and family traveling with them, even when they are not in the same cabin.

That means everyone in your group gets our military discount on your Antarctica cruise.

How much is our military discount on Antarctica cruises?

Most luxury and expedition cruise lines that sail to Antarctica don’t offer a military fare of their own.

We take the lowest fare the cruise line offers and add our military discount on top. On most luxury and expedition lines, that’s 5% off the cruise fare. Our price is lower than the cruise line’s lowest rate — 100% of the time, guaranteed.

Antarctica cruises are a big investment, so the savings add up fast. Here’s how much you can save when you book with us:

  • A cabin total of $15,000 — you save about $750.
  • A cabin total of $25,000 — you save about $1,250.
  • A cabin total of $40,000 — you save about $2,000.

And remember — our military discount applies to everyone traveling with the military member or veteran, even in separate cabins.

When Is the Best Time to Cruise to Antarctica?

Antarctica cruises only sail during the Southern Hemisphere summer, from about November through March. Every part of the season has its own magic.

November: Fresh, untouched snow, towering icebergs and penguins courting and building nests. See 2026–2027 season sailings.

December and January: The warmest weather and nearly 20 hours of daylight. Penguin chicks hatch, and holiday sailings book up early.

February and March: The best whale watching of the season, with growing penguin chicks and dramatic sunsets. Planning ahead? See 2027–2028 season sailings.

Antarctica cruises often sell out a year or more ahead, so the best cabins go to the people who book early.

Sail the Drake Passage or Fly Over It? How to Get to Antarctica

Sail from Ushuaia. Most Antarctica cruises leave from Ushuaia, Argentina, at the very tip of South America. You cross the famous Drake Passage, which takes about two days each way. Many travelers say the crossing is part of the adventure.

Fly the Drake. Fly-the-Drake cruises fly you from Punta Arenas, Chile to King George Island in the South Shetland Islands, where you board your ship. You skip the crossing and spend more of your trip in Antarctica.

Go big with the Falklands and South Georgia. Longer voyages of 18 days or more often add the Falkland Islands and South Georgia, home to some of the largest king penguin colonies on Earth.

Start in a big city. Some voyages begin or end in Buenos Aires or Santiago, Chile, so you can add a few days of sightseeing before or after your cruise.

Expedition Ship or Big Ship? Choosing Your Antarctica Cruise

Small expedition ships let you step onto Antarctica. Under IAATO guidelines, only ships carrying 500 passengers or fewer can land guests ashore, and only 100 people may be ashore at a landing site at a time. Expedition ships take you ashore by Zodiac, and many offer kayaking and polar plunges.

Antarctica expedition lines we discount include Atlas Ocean Voyages, National Geographic-Lindblad, Ponant, Quark Expeditions, Scenic, Seabourn, Silversea, Swan Hellenic and Viking.

Big cruise ships offer scenic cruising past glaciers and icebergs, without landings. They’re usually part of a longer South America cruise and can be the most affordable way to see Antarctica. Look at Holland America, Princess, Celebrity and Norwegian.

Want a fully guided trip with land touring? Tauck and Abercrombie & Kent combine Antarctica with escorted touring in South America.

Antarctica Cruise Military Discount: Frequently Asked Questions

Do cruise lines offer a military discount on Antarctica cruises?

Most luxury and expedition cruise lines that sail to Antarctica do not publish a military fare. We add our own military discount on top of the cruise line’s lowest fare on every Antarctica cruise we book, so our price is always lower.

Do veterans get a discount on Antarctica cruises?

Yes. ALL veterans qualify for our military discount on every Antarctica cruise, along with active-duty military, retirees, military spouses, and all friends and family traveling with them.

How much is the military discount on an Antarctica cruise?

On most luxury and expedition lines, our military discount is 5% off the cruise fare. On a $20,000 Antarctica cruise, that is about $1,000 back in your pocket. The higher the price of your cruise, the more you save.

Does the military discount stack with cruise line sales?

Yes. Our discount is added on top of the cruise line’s current promotions, like the ones listed in Today’s Special Deals on Antarctica Cruises above.

When is the best time to cruise to Antarctica?

The Antarctica cruise season runs from about November through March, during the Southern Hemisphere summer. November brings fresh snow and penguin courtship, December and January bring the longest days and penguin chicks, and February and March are the best months for whale watching.

How long is an Antarctica cruise?

Most Antarctica cruises from South America are 10 to 21 days. Fly-the-Drake cruises can be about a week. Longer voyages that add the Falkland Islands and South Georgia often run 18 days or more.

Do I have to cross the Drake Passage to get to Antarctica?

Not always. Most sailings from Ushuaia, Argentina cross the Drake Passage, which takes about two days each way. Fly-the-Drake cruises fly you from Punta Arenas, Chile to King George Island so you skip the crossing.

Can big cruise ships land passengers in Antarctica?

No. Under IAATO guidelines, ships carrying more than 500 passengers cannot make landings, so they offer scenic cruising only. If you want to step onto Antarctica, choose a small expedition ship.

What happens if the price of my Antarctica cruise drops after I book?

We monitor your rate for price drops all the way until final payment. If the price drops, we ask the cruise line to re-fare you to the lower rate, upgrade you, or give you onboard credit for the difference. (Some non-refundable promotions can’t be re-fared.)

Do you charge fees to book an Antarctica cruise?

No. We never charge a fee to book, change or cancel your cruise. The cruise line’s own cancellation penalties still apply. Call us at 866-964-5482.

Which cruise lines go to Antarctica?

As of October 2026, 17 cruise lines sail to Antarctica: Abercrombie & Kent, Atlas Ocean Voyages, Azamara, Celebrity, Hapag-Lloyd, Holland America, National Geographic-Lindblad, Norwegian, Ponant, Princess, Quark Expeditions, Scenic, Seabourn, Silversea, Swan Hellenic, Tauck and Viking. Military Cruise Deals gives a military discount on all of them.

What is the cheapest way to cruise to Antarctica?

The most affordable way to see Antarctica is usually scenic cruising on a big ship like Holland America, Princess, Celebrity or Norwegian, as part of a longer South America cruise. These ships do not land passengers. For landings, a small expedition ship from Ushuaia is usually less expensive than a fly-the-Drake cruise.

Do military spouses and widows qualify for the Antarctica military discount?

Yes. Military spouses and surviving spouses qualify for our military discount, and so do all friends and family traveling with them, even in separate cabins.
