Automatic Cruise Price Drop Monitoring

Last updated: November 7, 2026

When you book with Military Cruise Deals, we watch your fare for you. If there’s a cruise price drop on your sailing before final payment, we refare your booking automatically. You don’t need to check prices, call, or email us.

Military Cruise Deals has booked cruises for active duty, veterans and their families since 2001, with more than 50,000 clients served, an A+ BBB rating and 1,511 client reviews.

The short version

  • Every booking is monitored automatically, from the day you book until your final payment date.
  • If a lower fare becomes available, we apply it to your booking.
  • Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Wave Season and flash sales are all covered.
  • There’s no fee for this, and nothing to sign up for.

How it works

  1. You book your cruise with us, or transfer a booking you made directly with the cruise line.
  2. Our system checks your fare against the cruise line’s current pricing for your sailing and cabin category.
  3. If the price drops, we refare your booking to the lower rate. The difference comes off what you owe.
  4. Monitoring continues until your final payment date. After that, the fare is locked in.

Why the cruise line won’t do this for you

Cruise fares change constantly, and the cruise lines don’t lower your price on their own when a sale starts. If you booked direct, it’s on you to notice the drop and call to ask for it. Most people never do.

When you book through Military Cruise Deals, you also get our discount applied directly to your fare, on top of any military rate or past guest deal you qualify for. Rate monitoring is one more thing we handle so you don’t have to.

What to know before a refare

A lower fare is usually tied to a new promotion, and that changes a few things:

  • The new rate replaces your original fare and its promotion. Onboard credit or perks attached to your original rate may not carry over.
  • The new rate doesn’t qualify for our online booking discount.
  • Once final payment is made, most cruise lines won’t adjust the fare. Royal Caribbean, for example, doesn’t refund or adjust after final payment. Norwegian offers a limited price guarantee as a future cruise credit or upgrade, and we can tell you if your sailing qualifies.

Booked directly with the cruise line?

You can transfer your booking to us while only the deposit has been paid. Once it transfers, we add our discount and start monitoring your fare. Once a booking is paid in full, it can’t be transferred.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to contact you when I see a sale?

No. Your booking is checked automatically. If there’s a lower rate for your sailing, we apply it without you asking.

Does this cover Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales?

Yes. Holiday sales, Wave Season and flash sales are all included, as long as your final payment date hasn’t passed.

How long do you monitor my fare?

From the day you book until your final payment date. Final payment deadlines are typically 75 to 120 days before sailing, depending on the cruise line.

Is there a fee for price monitoring?

No. We don’t charge booking, change or cancellation fees, and rate monitoring is included with every booking.

What happens if the price drops after final payment?

Most cruise lines won’t adjust the fare once you’ve paid in full. Norwegian Cruise Line has a limited price guarantee that offers a future cruise credit or an upgrade instead of a refund. Contact us and we’ll check whether your sailing qualifies.

Will I lose my onboard credit if you refare my booking?

Possibly. A lower fare usually comes with a different promotion, and onboard credit attached to your original rate may not carry over. The new rate also doesn’t qualify for our online booking discount.

I booked directly with the cruise line. Can you monitor my booking?

Yes, once it’s transferred to us. Bookings can be transferred while only the deposit has been paid. After the transfer, we apply our discount and start monitoring.
