Why Military and Veteran Families Book Fall Foliage Cruises With Military Cruise Deals
You served. Now let us take care of you. Here’s what you get when you book your fall foliage cruise with us:
We pay for your military discount.
Most “military discounts” are just a cruise line’s sale price with a new label. Ours comes out of our own commission — on top of the cruise line’s lowest price. That’s our way of saying thank you for your service.
Bring everyone you love.
Your service earns the discount for everyone traveling with you — your spouse, kids, grandkids and friends — even in separate cabins. One veteran, and the whole group saves.
You’ll never wonder if you overpaid.
Our Price Drop Tracker is technology we pay a lot for, so you don’t have to. It shows the biggest cruise price drops the moment they happen. It’s completely free to you.
We keep working for you after you book.
Most agencies stop paying attention once you pay your deposit. We don’t. We pay for price-monitoring technology that keeps checking your rate all the way until final payment. If your price drops, we ask the cruise line to re-fare you, upgrade you or give you onboard credit.
More vacation for the same money.
On many fall foliage sailings, we add extras like Distinctive Voyages, special amenities and onboard credit.
No fees. No surprises.
We never charge you a fee to book, change or cancel your cruise. (The cruise line’s own cancellation penalties still apply.)
Real cruise experts — not a call center.
Since 2001, we’ve helped military families plan their cruises. Fall foliage cruises sell out early — especially late September and early October. We’ll help you find the right week, the right ship and the right cabin before they’re gone.
What it adds up to: on a $5,000 fall foliage cruise, our military discount saves you at least $250. Add perks like onboard credit, and that’s real money back in your pocket. If the price drops after you book and we re-fare you, you can save even more.
You’ve earned the best deal on your cruise. We make sure you get it — before you book, after you book, and every day until you sail.

We monitor your rate for price drops! We maximize your military discount on fall foliage cruises even after you book!
Between the time you book your fall foliage cruise and your final payment date, we keep watching the cruise line’s rates.
If the price drops, we contact the cruise line and ask them to re-fare your cruise to the lower rate, upgrade you to a better cabin, or give you onboard credit for the difference.
Cruise lines don’t always say yes, but we always try. Cruise lines will not re-fare after the final payment date, and some non-refundable fares don’t allow fare changes after booking.

Who Qualifies for Our Military and Veteran Discount on Fall Foliage Cruises?
Active-duty military, retired military, ALL veterans, and ALL spouses.
Every spouse qualifies, no matter the status of the military member — even if you’re divorced.
AND all friends and family traveling with them, even when they are not in the same cabin.
That means everyone in your group gets our military discount on your fall foliage cruise.
How much is our military discount on fall foliage cruises?
Some cruise lines that sail to Canada and New England have a military rate of their own, and many don’t.
Either way, we take the lowest fare the cruise line offers and add our military discount on top. That’s always at least 5% off the cruise fare. Many fall foliage sailings also get extra perks like Distinctive Voyages, special amenities and onboard credit. Our price is lower than the cruise line’s lowest rate — 100% of the time, guaranteed.
Here’s how much you can save when you book with us:
- A cabin total of $3,000 — you save at least $150.
- A cabin total of $5,000 — you save at least $250.
- A cabin total of $10,000 — you save at least $500.
And remember — our military discount applies to everyone traveling with the military member or veteran, even in separate cabins.
Choosing Your Fall Foliage Cruise
Round trip from the Northeast. The easiest fall foliage cruise is a one-week round trip from Boston, New York City or Cape Liberty (Bayonne). You’ll visit places like Portland and Bar Harbor in Maine, Saint John in New Brunswick and Halifax in Nova Scotia — and be home in time for work on Monday.
One way to Québec City or Montréal. The classic fall foliage cruise is a 10- to 14-day voyage between Boston or New York and Québec City or Montréal. You sail up the St. Lawrence River, where the hills on both shores turn red and gold. Many of these trips add Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton, the Gaspé Peninsula and the Saguenay Fjord.
Drive to your ship. If you live in the mid-Atlantic, you can skip the airport and sail from Baltimore or Philadelphia.

Big ship or small ship? Big-ship lines like Princess, Holland America, Cunard, Celebrity, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean and Carnival have the most sailings and the lowest fares. Viking, Oceania, Seabourn, Silversea, Windstar, Ponant and Explora Journeys offer smaller ships, more included extras and stops in small harbors the big ships can’t reach.
When Is the Best Time for a Fall Foliage Cruise?
Canada and New England cruises sail from about May through October. For fall color, choose a sailing in September or October.
Late September to early October: Peak color in the north — Québec, the Saguenay Fjord, Cape Breton and the Gaspé. This is the most popular time to go, and these sailings book up early. See fall 2027 sailings.
Early to mid-October: Peak color moves south to Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. Round trips from Boston and New York are a great pick. Planning ahead? See fall 2028 sailings.
Nature sets its own schedule, so no one can promise peak color on a certain day. Bring layers, a rain jacket and a camera — mornings on deck can be chilly.

Bonus wildlife: The St. Lawrence River is home to beluga whales all year, and minke, humpback and fin whales feed there into the fall. Keep your binoculars handy near Tadoussac and the Saguenay Fjord.
Military History on a Canada and New England Cruise
For veterans, a fall foliage cruise is more than pretty leaves. Many of the ports are full of military history.
Boston: Visit USS Constitution, “Old Ironsides,” at the Charlestown Navy Yard. She is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world and is still crewed by active-duty U.S. Navy sailors. The Bunker Hill Monument is just a short walk away.
Newport, Rhode Island: Home of the U.S. Naval War College, founded in 1884, and Naval Station Newport.
Halifax, Nova Scotia: In both World Wars, Halifax was where convoys gathered to cross the Atlantic. Walk the star-shaped Halifax Citadel on the hill above the harbor, and learn about the 1917 Halifax Explosion at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.
Québec City: Stand on the Plains of Abraham, where the 1759 battle changed the history of North America. The Citadelle of Québec is still an active military base. In 1943 and 1944, President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill met here at the Québec Conferences to plan the war in Europe, including the invasion of Normandy.
As your ship sails up the St. Lawrence, you’ll be following the same route soldiers and sailors have traveled for more than 250 years.
