Military and Veteran Wellness and Special Needs Cruise Information
Wellness and special needs are top priorities! Whether you are a puddle jumper, a tennis star, or an acrobat, it is important to promote a strong internal sense of well-being. Vacations are great for meeting this end! According to O Magazine, taking vacations has been shown to lower stress, release endorphins, improve sleep, and even lengthen your life! Plus, when you are on a cruise vacation- you don’t have to cook! Vacations are great happiness and vitality boosters. We should all take one with our morning coffee.
Cruise vacations feel fantastic. However, it can be hard to reap their full benefits if your other health needs aren’t being met. With this in mind I collated the special needs information for each major cruise line so that it could be easily read, assessed, and accessed.
Cruise lines create special needs accommodations to spread the good feelings far and wide. Cruisers with allergies can submit a request for special food options. Accessible staterooms are available for cruisers who have a wheelchair or other mobility needs. There are areas where smoking is prohibited, in order to accommodate cruisers with allergies to smoke.
Some cruises even go beyond these basics. Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, and Disney have been making changes to their ships and programming to better accommodate autistic guests. Silversea has wellness themed cruises, and MSC has a Wellness option on their upcoming Caribbean sailings. Wellness, comfort, and good-feelings are accessible to you. Whether you need an accessible stateroom, wheelchair ramps, special meals, or information on the ship’s smoking areas, this is your article!
