How Much Is Our Celebrity River Cruise Military and Veteran Discount?
Our discount is 5% off the cruise fare on every Celebrity River cruise — no exceptions.
Because it is a percentage of the fare, the more your voyage costs, the more you save. And whenever Celebrity runs its own promotions, our military and veteran benefits stack right on top of them.
So, your average savings will be between $500 and $1200 per cabin.
Does Celebrity Offer a Military or Veteran Discount on River Cruises?
Celebrity’s Military Savings discount is a set amount per person on the first and second guest in a stateroom: $25 per person on Inside and Ocean View staterooms, and $100 per person on Veranda, Concierge Class, AquaClass, and The Retreat suites.
The savings are combinable with most of Celebrity’s current promotions and are applied during booking if you qualify.
NOTE: Celebrity’s military savings apply only to select sailings — not every cruise — so contact us and we’ll tell you whether the cruise you have in mind qualifies.
On Celebrity’s published list of sailings which qualify for their military discount, river cruises are not included.
However, we have been able to get that discount applied in every instance so far, so let us help you!

Who Qualifies for Celebrity’s Military and Veteran Discount?
Per Celebrity, you qualify for their military rate if you fall into one of the groups below (a valid military ID must be shown at check-in):
- Active military — currently serving in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, or Reserves, or in the Canadian National Defense.
- Retired military — enlisted or officers with at least 20 years of service, medically retired, or 100% disabled, from any of the branches above.
- Veterans — with an Honorable Discharge after at least 2 years of service, or 6 months in an active war zone (a DD-214 and a photo ID are required).
- Military spouses — spouses of actively deployed personnel may book one stateroom, and spouses of deceased military members are eligible as well.
- Everyone in the stateroom — all guests sharing the cabin with the eligible service member receive the rate (it can’t be applied to additional staterooms).
