Need a Cabin for 5 on a Baltic Cruise?
There are very few cabins for five on Baltic sailings and they sell out fast. Here are the ships that have some options:
Costa: Pacifica and Magica have ocean view and balcony cabins for five.
MSC: Meraviglia has a few expensive balcony options only.
Norwegian: Getaway, Escape, and Pearl (O1 family ocean view and Haven 2-bedroom villa only). No cabins for 5 on the Spirit.
Royal Caribbean: Brilliance, Explorer, and Serenade have a limited number of categories for five (FO and PF ocean views and D1 balconies only).
Holland America: Nieuw Statendam has a few FA and FB family ocean view cabins. All other ships — no.
Princess: Pacific, Sea, and Regal Princess have no cabins for 5. The Sapphire Princess has S8 suites.
Disney: The Disney Magic has multiple cabins for 5 in different categories.
Celebrity: The Reflection and Silhouette have some cabins for 5 (FV Family Verandahs on the Reflection).

Will Baltic Cruise Prices Come Down If I Wait?
No. The Baltic is the most popular cruise itinerary in Europe with the shortest season, so these sailings typically sell out and prices increase as the departure date approaches. Do not wait to book a Baltic cruise.
Are Kids Free on Baltic Cruises?
No. Baltic cruises are so popular that cruise lines don’t need to offer kids-free promotions to sell out. In fact, most cabins for 3, 4, and 5 guests are typically sold out six months in advance.
If you need a cabin for five, call us as soon as possible at 866-964-5482 — many cabins for five are not shown online.

Tips From a Military Family Who Did the Norwegian Baltic Cruise
US Army Lieutenant Colonel Ranj Danaraj sailed the Norwegian Breakaway Baltic itinerary while stationed in Germany and shared these tips for fellow military families.
“Seriously, if people can’t have fun on the Norwegian Breakaway, they probably aren’t fun. Very friendly staff, great food (dining upgrade is a must!), fantastic entertainment and amenities, and for being sold out, I didn’t find the crowds excessive — the boat is big enough that people spread out.”

General Tips
Book excursions outside the cruise line for better value and smaller groups. Viator.com is a great aggregator. Always schedule tours early in the day for fewer crowds.
Warnemünde
Rent a bike or hike the pleasant trail along the water and through the forest west of Warnemünde. Bike rentals are available from a shop on Mühlenstraße, open 09:30–18:00.
Tallinn
The “Tallinn Walking Tour with Free Time and Port Transfers” by SPB Tours (available on Viator) is a solid 3-hour overview of the historic center.
Helsinki
The NCL shuttle drops you at the main market for $15 per person — no pre-booking needed. The “Small Group Helsinki Sightseeing Tour by Bicycle” through Hassu Tours (Viator) is highly recommended for seeing off-the-beaten-path neighborhoods and local markets.
Stockholm
NCL docks at Nynäshamn, about 45–60 minutes from downtown Stockholm. Book the hop-on hop-off bus through NCL, which includes red buses from the port to the route and a water tour of the city. Get off the boat right at 07:30 to maximize your time downtown. Visit what you most want to see first — the Vasa Museum line moves quickly and free guided tours run every 30 minutes.

Onboard Tips
Upgrade your dining — the specialty restaurants are exceptional (Cagney’s, Ocean Blue, and Teppanyaki are standouts). Make show reservations before the cruise as they book up. “Howl at the Moon” dueling piano is highly recommended. Book the NCL airport transfer — inexpensive and very efficient. Watch for spa, duty-free, and art deals in the last 48–72 hours of the sailing.
