Looking for a cruise departing from Venice?
* Venice is the closest Eastern Med departure port to Germany.
Bari and Brindisi are located in the south of Italy, so they are much farther than Venice.
Ancona is located on the Eastern side of the Italian boot, about 2 hours farther south than Venice.
(So you can drive there from Stuttgart in about 9 hours and 15 minutes.)
There are no cruise departures from Venice between January and most of March.
**In January through March, there are a few cruises to the Eastern Med, but they depart from Western Med ports like Barcelona and Rome, and thus are usually 10 days or more, since it takes that long to cruise all the way to the Eastern Mediterranean and back.
Eastern Mediterranean ports include:
Greece – Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Katakolon, Corfu, Iraklion and Chania (Crete), Rhodes, Igoumenitsa, Argostolion
Italy: Venice, Trieste, Bari, Brindisi, Ancona, Ravenna, Geggio Calabria, Corigliano Calabro
Croatia: Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar
